A recent addition to Bugibba’s cosmopolitan seafront offerings, CIBO presents an Italian style Osteria menu and venue overlooking the bay of St Paul. With a distinct Trattoria atmosphere, outdoor tables with checkered tablecloths surround the central bar and kitchen with long benches for larger parties suggesting a great family get together, lunch or dinner. Fresh Italian ingredients are regularly flown in highlighting the very best of this culinary genre. The menu may be short but is expertly crafted to mix dishes and share with a focused wine list featuring some great local and Italian wines.
Antipasti feature some all-time classics. Parmigiana and Prosciutto Crudo but an extravagant array of focaccias is a definite must have. Try mixing a wonderfully creamy Burrata with crushed pistachio and Gozitan honey and a focaccia Italianato to acquire near perfection. Main courses of Neapolitan style pizza served either as Rossa, Bianca or Calzone, all with prime additions. The La Maialona rossa with pancetta, prosciutto and mozzarella di latte is a total meat feast in itself and the Sicilana bianca, a genuine delight. Pastas and risotto are also available and the Pappardelle with beef ragu is a great choice. A children’s menu is also available for the little ones. Top this all off with an authentic Tiramisu and espresso to complete.
