Sciantusi

"Consistent on quality throughout the years."

Sciantusi, conveniently located a stone’s throw away from the Sliema seafront, is warm and welcoming, bright and busy. U’sciantuso, which means smartly dressed gentlemen, refers to the nickname of the grandfather of the family that runs the restaurant, and is the character depicted in the restaurant’s logo. Sciantusi is proud to have been awarded membership in the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. this honour obliges it to adhere to stringent specifications of ingredient quality, cooking equipment and duration and standards of presentation, in order to reproduce the authentic taste of true Neapolitan pizza.
The open kitchen and the adjacent open pizza kitchen showcasing a large dome shaped pizza oven tiled in Italian colours are testament to this. Sciantusi serves genuine Italian food, sticking loyally to the original recipes and proudly makes all its own pasta in-house. For starters try hot, crunchy, fried seafood or the red prawn and pistachio pesto. enjoy the al dente home made fresh tagliatelle scoglio with mixed seasonal seafood, cherry tomatoes, eVoo and parsley. try a tasty deep-fried calzone pizza filled with five different gooey cheeses. For dessert, relish a delectable babà or a mini montanara dolce – a small closed pizza filled with cream of pistachio that just begs to be eaten with the hands.
