T’Annamari
The fishing village of Marsaxlokk offers many delights, but its crown jewel must be T’Annamari — chef Patron Salvatore’s culinary labour of love. The décor is reminiscent of traditional Maltese architecture, with its signature yellow stone and wooden beams. the walls are décorated with tributes to Maltese and Mediterranean urban and agricultural scenery. T’Annamari offers an easygoing dining experience with exceptional food and top notch service, but without the stifling rigidity or exorbitant prices synonymous with ‘classy’ dining.
Chef Patron Salvatore prides himself on treating you to only the very best produce. Vegetables are sourced directly from his parents’ farm in Ragusa, with its pristine and uncontaminated nature. All fish is fresh and exclusively locally-caught, exploding with flavour from the very first to the very last bite. T’Annamari is also home to some delectable Ragusan specialities, such as the ‘cucciddato’, a tender bread roll with Ragusan pork sausage, caciocavallo cheese and black pepper — to die for. If you’re having a hard time choosing, you should go for the degustation menu, which will be tailored to your taste and appetite, and paying close attention to any food allergies or intolerances you might have. There’s also a well-curated wine list where you can pick the perfect vintage to go with your feast. conclude with a delicious signature Sicilian dessert or a palate-cleansing lemon sorbet.
