Tarragon Restaurant

"Excellent food, great value and overall great atmosphere." "We love the intimacy of Tarragon looking out onto the bay."

Tarragon Restaurant is presently closed temporarily.  It will be relocating to a new venue in Valletta in the near future.

Tarragon has racked up numerous awards over the years and with good reason. Chef patron and celebrity restaurateur Marvin Gauci (also of Caviar & Bull, Susurrus fame) has tirelessly pushed himself to stay ahead of everyone else when it comes to innovation in cuisine and excellence in service. The tasteful interior décor truly enhances the elegance factor. The place is spacious and allows for a completely unobstructed view of the sea.

While the menu can cater for more traditional tastes, it is the desire for novelty that really brings out the best experiences at Tarragon. Visit with an open mind and an appetite for the unexpected. Start with the local fish crudo and oysters, assembled with the freshest, seasonal bounty of the sea, or with the beef carpaccio, with citrus and capers, smoked at your table for maximum flavour. Move on to the braised local pork cheeks served on truffle mash potatoes, or local meagre with a courgette crust with a mussle veloute A vintage from the extensive wine list will make for the perfect companion to your meal. Conclude with a dessert of chocolate textures — dark chocolate brownie, milk chocolate ganache, caramelised white chocolate, orange tuile, dark chocolate truffle, and ice-cream. Tarragon consistently offers one of the best dining experiences in an intimate setting with gorgeous views and fantastic service.
