Marsaxlokk boasts a venue rivaling the best you can get. Tex Mex is a new super plush restaurant with an ‘uber’ stylish vibe providing a VIP night out to enjoy cocktails, fine wines and fantastic food. The extensive menu focusing on Hispanic/Texan favourites with a contemporary twist are prepared in an open kitchen, creatively crafting dishes like an art studio, disturbed only by flames from the ‘state of the art’ grill, cooking meats and fish to perfection. Most evenings have indiscreet live music complementing the relaxed atmosphere.
Dishes are large and made for sharing. Starters are varied and of course include Nachos, clams, chowders and Potato skins. The mixed fish ceviche is definitely a good choice and flaming wings with raspberry chipotle, simply brilliant. Main courses of burgers and whiskey glazed ribs, aged steaks and fresh fish and lobster, contend with fajitas, jumbo burritos and enchilada’s. A pizza, pasta and salad selection adheres to a Tex Mex style with Cajun Chicken and Chorizo options and many other varieties. Deserts are truly to die for. Gateaux’s and house made fresh ice-cream are on offer but the Banana Foster, with cinnamon, walnuts and topped with Belgian chocolate, is just wow!
