Hammett’s Monastik awarded EcoCook Engaged Certification

Hammett’s Monastik is one of Malta’s first restaurants to be awarded an EcoCook Engaged Certification certificate demonstrating its commitment to sustainability. 

Set in Sliema, Hammett’s Monastik offers a thoughtful tasting menu rooted in monastic and Mediterranean traditions now with an added layer of environmental consciousness. From locally sourced ingredients to mindful kitchen practices, this restaurant continues to lead with both creativity and care.⁠

EcoCook® is the first and only Malta certification in the catering sector that recognises the sustainable practices of a restaurant on all levels. For consumers, EcoCook® is above all a guarantee of these practices and commitments to sustainability.

The EcoCook® team, composed of experts in sustainability, certification and communication, has developed the “EcoCook® Sustainable Restaurant Certification Program”, which allows restaurant owners to:

  • Improve their practices
  • Reduce their environmental impacts
  • Reduce their operating costs
  • Differentiate themselves
