Enchanté Restaurant
Situated right on the seashore in Senglea, Enchanté is magical. The food and service are pure artistry and the surroundings, the setting of the place, are like something out of a film set where all dazzles. There’s the sea, the harbour, the boats, the fort, the buildings, the bastions, all just about within touching distance. In bad weather, sitting inside still gives you a glimpse of the sea and vistas. Indoors provides an intimate atmosphere with a smartly designed bar offering a range of drinks and cocktails to serve any discerning diner.
Beyond the views, dining at Enchanté is quite fulfilling. As is to be expected, being so close to the sea, Enchanté offers a vast array of fresh fish and shellfish. In addition, the menu offers a number of meat staples, and vegetarians are also catered for. The menu changes constantly to offer locally sourced produce and the latest catch of fish by the restaurant’s appointed suppliers. The wine list is extensive covering all tastes and price range. Choose the raw fish – carpaccio – which is exquisitely marinated and presented. The octopus in garlic is a star attraction while the paccheri rabbit and the rabbit roulade are old Maltese favourites given a modern twist. Round up your meal with a delicious and unusual Tiramisù, which sees your server pouring espresso coffee over the savoiardi (ladyfinger biscuits) and mascarpone.
