Ferretti

The "delicious food" and "family ambience" make this restaurant "one of the best".

Ferretti is situated within historical fortified walls and offers a unique historic dining experience in a relaxed, comfortable setting. This spacious restaurant has been skillfully designed to provide a panoramic view across the sea. The venue is also ideal for functions and events. Their eclectic selection of local and foreign wines and champagnes are stored in the rough-hewn cellar that used to serve as the Battery’s water reservoir and worth a visit.

Ferretti serves fresh Mediterranean cuisine with the à la carte, set menu and daily specials offering an extensive choice of dishes. Starters such as the fresh black mussels served steamed in white wine with spring onions, fresh chili, cherry tomatoes and garden herbs are delightful; whilst the casutin cheese coated with almond crumbs and served on crispy watercress with fig compote and drizzled with local honey, is sublime. Homemade fresh pasta with gluten-free options is available; try the tortelloni stuffed with Parmigiano reggiano tossed with shallots and artichoke purée in cream with hazelnuts and parmesan shavings. Main course options include gourmet burgers, lava grilled meats such as marinated chicken breast with lemon pepper and Cajun spice or Uruguayan Hereford flank steak served tagliata with grana shavings, cherry tomatoes, crispy onions and rucola cooked to your liking. Main courses are served with seasonal vegetables or salad and roasted potatoes or fries. A selection of side sauces is also available.
