Zero Sei

Zero Sei is a traditional Roman trattoria in Old Theatre Street in Valletta. The restaurant is owned and managed by Fausto, a native of Rome, and his family who bring you a cuisine best described as “food that mamma makes.” The restaurant itself is on two levels and is homely and cosy. Fausto and staff welcome you like old friends and make you feel special right from the start. Whether you are looking for a romantic meal or an animated night with friends, Zero Sei pulls it off beautifully.

The food is traditional Italian, leading you from a welcome bite of tomato bruschetta through antipasti of burrata with truffle or their selection of fritti including suppli, codfish, and zucchini flowers. Pasta is homemade and includes favourites such as carbonara and amatriciana with tomato sauce, pork cheek, and pecorino. Mains are served with chips and salad and feature sliced steak with truffle alongside other classic options. Desserts round off your evening on a sweet note, with choices like tiramisu. There is no need for a wine list; the restaurant has its own cellar, so feel free to browse downstairs or consult with Fausto for the ideal accompaniment to your dish.
