BAHIA

BAHIA is a restaurant named after a prestigious navel orange that has been the pride of the people from Attard, Balzan and Lija, also called “The Three Villages”. In 2022, after 5 years in Lija, BAHIA moved to another prestigious property in Balzan, built in the early 1900s. The building represents the foundation of Malta’s most important group of hotels, Corinthia. The restaurant design is inspired by the four stages of growth of an orange tree, mainly Seed, Growth, Blossom, and Harvest, and each stage was the inspiration for a different section of the restaurant.

With a keen interest in entertaining guests in a comfortable and contemporary space, both indoors and outdoors, the skilled team brings to the table innovation and respect towards an array of high-quality ingredients. The restaurant respects Malta’s culinary heritage, whilst proposing a contemporary and creative cuisine. Through the menu, guests are invited to go on a journey around the different Maltese villages. Patrons may choose from the HOP ON, HOP OFF à la carte or choose from a selection of courses if they prefer a plant-based meal. Alternatively they can choose a degustation menu which is also available in plant-based format. Guests that have any dietary requirements are also welcome to inform the BAHIA team accordingly. Accompanying this exquisite contemporary food is a selection of prestigious wines and other beverages to best suit the guests’ meals.
