The recent addition of Chatterbox to Bugibba’s promenade creates the perfect stopover for Asian dishes served in a modern, almost industrial, environment. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the St Paul Bay and the outside dining areas with walls adorned with captivating Asian art. Large blackboards unveil culinary charms, signature cocktails and infused Gins, encouraging a world of culinary exploration. The essence of ‘street food’ is recognised with a menu that artfully weaves a diverse tapestry of rich and vibrant Southeast Asian delicacies.

The menu is split into sections. Street food could be starters but allows —’Tapas’ possibilities. The calamari kempu is perfectly prepared, while the Malaysian assorted satays is a flavour explosion. Indian skewers of spiced lamb and chicken abound and the fried calamari with chilli sauce are all beautifully presented and wonderfully tasty. Indian main courses do not disappoint. The aromatic Chatterbox signature nalli gosht or the excellent shrimp bhuna pair exceptionally with fragrant rice or the signature biryani. Adding a perfectly charred naan and flavourful Yellow Dal is highly recommended. Asia proffers bold and spicy flavours. The kung pao chicken is a standout – marinated chicken cooked to perfection. Fried rice offers a crunch that complements wonderfully, and noodle varieties with shrimp or chicken are great, as well. Add an Asian Sling Cocktail to your meal, as well. Chatterbox is set apart by the fusion possibilities. Combine different dishes and discover some unique and flavourful twists just waiting to be discovered.
