La Nostra Padrona

Patrons love this "very popular restaurant", especially the "great pasta".

La Nostra Padrona is located in an oasis bordered by palm trees. Fishing boats bob up and down within your view, colourful and eye-catching. The speciality is fish, also enjoyed al fresco, when the long mellow seasons allow. This ship-shape restaurant is ideal for special occasions such as lunches, baptisms, and intimate weddings, as well as for intimate tête-à-têtes. The spaciousness allows for in an atmosphere of elegance, as well as a more casual dining option outside, right by the sea. The service is understated, but thoroughly informed.

Start your meal with a lovely dish of pasta with sea urchins, then choose your prize live lobster, flown in from Scotland within a timely four hours. These magnetic creatures lure you to their capacious tank. And then there are the fish specials, such as seabass gravlax salad with orange segments, and the always delectable catch of the day, generously portioned and served with a kaleidoscopic mound of chopped vegetables and crisp Maltese potatoes. The seafood platter is awash with jewels from the sea – a multi-coloured smorgasbord that delights: king prawns, mussels, oysters, crayfish, octopus, and mixed shell fish, dashed with cherry tomatoes and a scallop shell you’ll wish you could keep. You can look forward to completing your meal with some lovely homemade imqaret.
