Pierre’s

The "food is always great", with a "big menu consisting of everything".

With so many restaurants coming and going, it’s notable that Pierre’s has been run by the same family for 23 years! Whenever you visit for lunch or dinner, you’ll always find Michelina running the front-of-house service and her sister Maria leading the kitchen. This consistency helps meet the expectations of the loyal clientele of Gozitans and visiting Maltese, many of whom know the menu by heart. The tables here are all open air, positioned right on the water’s edge to enjoy a 180-degree view across Marsalforn Bay and out to sea. With a relaxed vibe, efficient service, and generous portion sizes, you’ll understand why it’s recommended to book in advance on weekends and during high season.

Pierre’s menu of starter/main portions, salads and pizzas covers all tastes and budgets, making it a good choice for both groups and families. You’ll find traditional Maltese favourites (Aljotta, Gozo Cheese Ravioli, rabbit, and Imqaret) alongside an extensive selection of Mediterranean-style meat mains and pasta dishes. But it’s the local fish, calamari, octopus and seafood dishes that Pierre’s is best known for. Want to eat like a local? The most popular orders here are the Mixed Fish Platter and the Tuna Tartare. It’s also not unusual for people to telephone in advance to see if the Seafood and Chicken Paella is on the specials board!
