Rebekah’s Restaurant
Rebekah’s is the epitome of fine dining. You’ll be treated like royalty and pampered. Attentive, knowledgeable staff are ready to offer information about the creative artistic cuisine and the extensive international wine list. Rebekah’s is located within a 300-year-old house of character – the oldest one in Mellieha – built of thick stone and retaining many of its original features. These include an underground war shelter and an internal courtyard covered by a retractable roof. The special attention to minute details such as lighting and artwork is greatly appreciated by patrons. A separate dining room with its own entrance ensures complete privacy for small, private functions.
The menu at Rebekah’s features seasonal local produce and changes three or four times per year, sometimes retaining some of the regulars’ favourites. Start off the feast with warm, freshly-baked Maltese sourdough bread served with the purest olive oil and homemade tomato paste. For startersenjoy the local fresh fish tartare with crème crue, cucumber and trout caviar, pickled daikon and warm truffle dashi, or go for the delectable lamb cannelloni. Next indulge in the veal loin with fresh garden peas and guanciale, or savour the local pork fillet served with mediterranean red prawns and bok choi. For dessert relish the lemonade parfait or the Mellieha strawberry tart.
