Rebekah’s Restaurant
Rebekah’s is the epitome of fine dining. You’ll be treated like royalty and pampered. Attentive, knowledgeable staff are ready to offer information about the creative artistic cuisine and the extensive international wine list. Rebekah’s is located within a 300-year- old house of character—the oldest one in Mellieha—built of thick stone and retaining many of its original features. These include an underground war shelter and an internal courtyard covered by a retractable roof. The recent refurbishment included special attention to minute details such as lighting and artwork. A separate dining room with its own entrance ensures complete privacy for small, private functions.
The menu at Rebekah’s features seasonal local produce and changes three or four times per year, sometimes retaining some of the regulars’ favourites. Start off the feast with warm, freshly-baked Maltese sourdough bread served with purest olive oil and homemade tomato paste. For starters enjoy the creamiest foie gras and chicken liver parfait with pear, or the delectable brown crab and monkfish cannelloni. Next indulge in a cheese soufflé on walnuts and figs, or savour the fresh, pan-fried wild fish with local vegetables on the side. For dessert relish the hazelnut praline tart or the toffee pudding cake.
