Ta’ Philip

A "gem in gozo", with a "traditional menu with a modern twist".

Whether you’re a local to Gozo or not, a trip to Ta’ Philip is a must. A brisk walk from the Ferry Terminal, Ta’ Philip provides the perfect meal before or after your ferry ride between the islands. The wood burning oven keeps the menu unique and interesting, and the environment is warm and inviting, making this a perfect restaurant to enjoy with family and friends. The interior of Ta’ Philip is simple, but delivers everything needed from a diner’s perspective—”ample seating in a fully air-conditioned setting, serviced with a lift for total accessibility to the entire restaurant.
The menu features an ample selection of à la carte starters such as smoked duck, pasta dishes, homemade ravioli, as well as their specialty main courses prepared in their wood-burning oven. The menu ranges from traditional dishes like stuffed marrows or locally-farmed goat, as well as veal rib-eye on the bone and a variety of daily specials. The specials board at Ta’ Philip surpasses the main selection, with on average twenty additional dishes on offer each day. These include spaghetti served with fresh lobster and deep fried lampuki when in season, both of which pair wonderfully with Gozo’s Massar Winery, Tanit Vermentino. The apple pie or chocolate fondant with artisanal ice-cream make for a great conclusion.
