Contessa (formerly Phoenix) is found within The Phoenicia Malta, which is located a minute away from Valletta’s City Gate. Elegant and atmospheric, the restaurant’s chic colonial décor carries a hint of Singapore’s Raffles, particularly evident in the old iconic wooden ceiling fans and ornamental decorative chandeliers. The light-drenched, refined interiors of the historic building’s classical and art deco ambience together with the breath-taking harbour views & sunsets from the conservatory terrace setting, overlooking the expansive gardens and Marsamxett Harbour, is the ideal place to escape the noise of the everyday.
