Don Royale

Described as a "great family restaurant", Don Royale's "amazing pizza and pasta" are local staples.

Italian cuisine with a distinct Maltese twist makes Don Royale an unusual and interesting dining experience. It’s a pizza/pasta/grill eatery with a grand view of Dragonara Point and the Mediterranean Sea. Both the inside and outside dining areas are sprawling but set in a way that doesn’t make you feel as if you are lost in a crowd. Seating is comfortable with enough space between tables to let you enjoy your meal without other diners overhearing your conversation. In summer, the sea breezes keep you comfortably cool outside while inside is perfectly airconditioned. In winter, both inside and out are warmed to keep you snug in your seat while imbibing your drink and savouring your food.

The Don Royale menu is extensive and caters for most palates, with soup, pasta, pizza, burgers, meats and more on offer. The food is meticulously prepared with fresh ingredients. Service is excellent and well-paced and the serving staff very efficient. Don Royale is truly like a piece of Italy with a memorable Maltese touch. The focaccia, the arancini, and the Calamari Fritti together with the Pizza Don Tartufata are definite stars in a star-studded menu. The pizza base and the pasta itself – in any concoction chosen – are mouthwatering winners. The Don Maltese Pizza (with rabbit), the Timpana (baked macaroni), the rabbit stew and the Bragioli (rolled beef) give Don Royale a right royal Maltese touch.
