Le Majoliche Ristorante Italiano

Customers are "treated extremely well", with "lovely" and "traditional" food reminiscent of Sicilian nights.

Le Majoliche in Pendergardens, St Julian’s, boasts a double height ceiling giving a sense of grandness when you walk in. The décor is modern infused with classical Sicilian majoliche; beautiful brightly patterned tiles reminiscent of traditional Maltese tiles, which permeate the entire restaurant – on the walls, bar countertop, floor and some of the large, charming crockery. A modern glass-encased wine cellar makes super stylish creative use of the space under the stairs to the capacious upper floor. Serving staff are very smart in their leather cross backed aprons and serve your food with a flourish from a side serving table added to your dining table. Prepare to be pampered by the service and the divine food!

Le Majoliche serves traditional genuine Sicilian cuisine with an emphasis on fresh fish, seafood and meats from a copious menu and variety of specials. Many regulars among the clientele choose to opt for the recommendations of the owner. Sip a refreshing original limoncello spritz and enjoy crispy whitebait fritters or juicy aubergine rolls, succulent swordfish caponata or crunchy sardine croquettes, all served with fresh herbs and chunky lemon wedges. Enjoy velvety seafood risotto or plump spaghetti with fresh tuna. Be wowed by the flaming seabass al sale so tender and moist. Crown it all with deconstructed cannoli with sheep’s ricotta or pistachio cream and a tangy sgroppino – lemon sorbet, prosecco and fresh mint.
