Meraki Wine & Dine

"Attention to detail Excellent food and great service always make you feel at home."

Meraki Wine & Dine launches new menu items—more dishes delight with a laid-back, luxury vibe. Meraki is the creation of home-grown chef patron Dino Farrugia. The blackboard menu celebrates Maltese cuisine, without being mired in traditional dishes. Showcasing local suppliers is a strong suit here, and produce often comes from relatives themselves- such as the olive oil, vegetables, olives and herbs, which are sourced from the family’s own fields.

The new take on the menu is a serene song, drawing you in with the likes of home-made ‘bigilla’ (broan bean dip) and ‘kapunata’ freshly made by the Dino’s own mother! The short menu changes regularly, so here is just a flavour of what to expect: fresh ravioli with burrata from Puglia, it’s sauce, fireworks of aged white goat cheese and funghi misti. Some of the more popular items are constants: the traditional carbonara would cause a riot were it to be removed from the menu. The latest addition of hand selected Polish beef with beautiful marbling, ensures an intense flavour, cooked precisely to your liking, oozing delicious meat juices! Intense sins of imqaret (date cakes) filled with figs from Zurrieq and walnuts, served with their own bajtar tax-xewk (prickly pears) or banana fritters will have you breaking your sugar-free resolution in no time at all.
