Meraki Wine & Dine

Patrons love the "amazing wines" and the "one-of-a-kind experience".

Meraki Wine & Dine launches new menu items — more dishes delight with a laid-back, luxury vibe. Meraki is the creation of home-grown chef patron Dino Farrugia. The blackboard menu celebrates Maltese/Mediterranean cuisine, without being mired in traditional dishes. Showcasing local suppliers is a strong suit here, and products often come from relatives themselves, such as the olive oil, vegetables, olives and herbs, which are sourced from the family’s own fields.

The new take on the menu is a serene song, drawing you in with the likes of homemade ‘bigilla’ (broan bean dip) and ‘kapunata’ freshly made by Dino’s own mother! The short menu changes regularly, so here is just a taste of what to expect. Some of the more popular items are: the traditional & Sacra Carbonara — would cause a riot were it to be removed from the menu; the Antipasto Misto which is based on meat and the Fritto Misto based on fish; a top selection of meats with beautiful marbling, ensuring an intense flavor, cooked precisely to your liking; fresh fish; their famous tender octopus — and so much more! Intense delights such as the home baked imqaret (date cakes), served with their own bajtar tax-xewk (prickly pears), or the Cannoli with sweet sicilian ricotta, will have you breaking your sugar-free resolution in no time at all.
