Smugglers

Patrons "love the sharing plates concept" and applaud the "consistent food and service".

Smugglers has been around for a long time and it now boasts a novel old meets new look and a creative delicious compact menu retaining old time favourites. Those who remember the old Smugglers will be amazed that it could have changed so much: it is brighter, airier and spacious. With old Maltese flooring blended with parquet tiling and wood panelling, it has a lovely homely feel about it. Wood or marble-topped tables, wood chairs, a porthole into the busy kitchen and abundant sprigs of dried flowers adorning the chandeliers complete the warm look. The façade is that of two neighbouring traditional Maltese shuttered houses with tables scattered on the tree-lined pavement outside and fjakkoli creating a cosy ambience.

Smugglers is all about quality food with genuine ingredients. Sip an innovative cocktail of port and tonic or Passoa spritz and try the delicious Breaded Pork Chop served with parmesan shavings or the tuna, escorted by romesco sauce, kale, pancetta, and capers. Savour a Beef Fillet served with mixed mushrooms and complemented by red wine reduction and beef jus. Truly savour the Spaghetti Sausage & Saffron – the sicilian sausage is to die for! And, of course, save some space to indulge in the divine Pistachio and Pomegranate Cake.
