Cheese & Cuts

"A really nice restaurant based on Italian cuisine." "Authentic italian food, cheese & charcuterie."

Cheese & Cuts is the brainchild of personable local entrepreneur Ramon, out of frustration with the lack of choice charcuterie for gastronomes on the island. Always attentive to his patrons’ demands, he evolved Cheese & Cuts from its initial deli-style into a popular eatery. Outdoor seating on the patio is enclosed during the colder months, making this bustling bistro a year-round option. Cylindrical, fabric lampshades illuminate a variety of supine wine bottles lining the inner wall. At the rear, an open kitchen buzzes with activity from a strong team of continental chefs. Cast iron tables and sturdy wooden chairs encourage diners to linger a while.

The menu features seasonal specialities from Italy, whilst the modestly-priced wine selection includes exclusive offerings such as Habla de mar — a Spanish wine innovatively- fermented under sea water. Fresh porcini mushrooms are a delight. Watching handmade pasta served from the Grana Padano wheel is a treat. Gnocchi are taken to the next level with flavours of pumpkin, speck and amaretti. Let Davide sort you out with the namesake dish, a trio of pecorino — in fieno, stagionato and pepato — served on a dainty, wooden chopping board with walnuts, mortadella, and wholesome honey. The pistachio fondant with ice-cream is well worth the wait! Great value combined with genuine fare make for a winning combination at cheese & cuts.
