Don Berto
Ascending the stone steps of the old treasury to Don Berto’s balustraded balcony allows you to gaze outwardly onto the magnificent views of historic Senglea and the Vittoriosa Marina. The stylishly modern interior creates a pleasant juxtaposition with the traditional honey coloured stone walls. The balcony has been revamped to include a glass and steel canopy extending their seating capacity to include comfortable dining in winter weather.
The menu is agreeable to all palates, offering a variety of sh and meat dishes along with salads, pasta and a large choice of pizzas. For those who like to share, platters feature selections of cured meats, international cheeses, Maltese sausages and seafood are ample offerings. Starters may include mussels in garlic, fresh soups and homemade focaccia. Pasta dishes include, fagottini stuffed with Taleggio cheese and pears, tossed in a rich cheese fondue may be ordered as a starter or main portion. Main courses include a selection of catch of the day fish and seafood at market prices as well as other popular dishes including local pork, octopus in garlic and the aromatic vegetable curry. All main courses are served with roasted potatoes or fries & seasonal vegetables or fresh salad. Local and international wines are available.
