Tartarun

A "fine establishment" with "exceptional food".

Steps away from the seafront and beautiful Marsaxlokk parish church, Tartarun is in the perfect place for a stroll before or after your meal. This family-run, fine-dining restaurant combines prime location with sophisticated service, tasteful decor and inspired, artful menu items to create a wonderful dining experience. the area is separate from the spacious dining room, which exhibits embellishments such as sepia-toned photographs of the fishing village’s livelihood, large models of luzzu fishing craft, and dark wooden furniture to match the sizeable wooden beams and sweeping, wooden-framed windows throughout the restaurant.

Tartarun’s menu exhibits original and imaginative seafood dishes with delectable flavours and fascinating textures, not to mention an extensive selection of wines. The Pink Prawn Carpaccio is a wonderful starter, or try the fettucine with guanciale, vongole, and whey sauce. Fish snacks and starters include the Croustade of Lobster with kimchi and black garlic. A range of pasta options are also available and for main courses they have both seafood and meat dishes. For Mediterranean authenticity, take your pick from one of their selection of line caught local fish. If possible, save room for the equally impressive dessert such as the white chocolate & toasted venere rice ganache, exotic fruit & lime sorbet.
