The MICHELIN Guide Malta 2024 has recently been published, recommending 40 restaurants from around the Maltese Islands. Â Â We wholeheartedly congratulate the restaurants mentioned, the vast majority of which have been rated in our annual restaurant survey in September 2023 and received our prestigious restaurant awards too for 2024.
These are all restaurants that have been previously acknowledged by our survey-based guide. So, what does this mean?
This means that in reality, these restaurants are first and foremost being discovered by the general public. We always knew the Maltese population had great taste, but now this is also being backed up by the MICHELIN guide. The striking overlap in restaurants mentioned therefore shows that our survey-based guide is very much in line with their judge-based system.
A big well done to all the restaurants mentioned in this year’s MICHELIN Guide Malta, we look forward to opening up our survey in a few months. Who knows, maybe we’ll predict another MICHELIN-star winner!
From the 40 restaurants acknowleged by MICHELIN, 30 of which had already been mentioned in the Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants – and we couldn’t be prouder!
